SCROLL DOWN

UAV uses in the AGRICULTURE | NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT sector enable users to execute their analysis, planting, monitoring, application, and maintenance tasks associated with cultivation of crops, management of vegetation, and tracking of wildlife. UAV uses within this sector are commonly executed over significant distances and expansive land areas from relatively open and unobstructed launch/landing areas. Due to the potential range of sensor options applied for uses within this sector, UAV payload, flight time, and interchangeability of sensor payloads are generally key UAV performance attributes.

USE ANALYSIS & RANKING IN PROGRESS....

We are currently conducting field research and working through our ZYLTER Expert Network to compile detailed information on this  UAS use. If you are an experienced UAS operator or expert in this sector and use we want to hear from you! COntact us to join the Zylter Expert Network.

Vertical Site Monitoring (VSM) entails use of a UAS to collect information on the condition, status and/or progress of vertical sites. UASs are commonly used to collect still and video images marking the progress of vertical site development. Due to the often-numerous vertical features and potentially constrained locations, UAS ability to launch, land, and fly in constrained spaces is often important for successful execution of this use.

SECTOR

CONSTRUCTION | ENGINEERING

Primary User Group(s)

  • Construction companies

  • Site developers and managers

  • Construction-focused UAS service providers

Objective of
UAS Use

  • To collect information to enable assessment of the status and track the progress of vertical construction or erection projects, features, and sites.

Key Operating Environment Features

  • Potentially confined and complex construction sites with numerous vertical features and existing infrastructure concerns (power lines, etc.)

  • In or adjacent to existing building, structure and activities

  • Job sites with significant amount of personnel and vehicle activity

Value Proposition for UAS Use

  • UAS will decrease operator cost through rapid and safer collection of site information than having one or more people physically inspect and photograph each area of interest.
